Jesús Galván Says Betis Could Secure Gonzalo Petit Within Two Years
Jesús Galván, the Sevilla-based coach, said that Betis could have a striker in Gonzalo Petit within two years.
The comment came while evaluating the 19‑year‑old Uruguayan forward.
Gonzalo Petit has spent the first half of the current season on loan at CD Mirandés.
He completed the second half on loan at Granada CF.
During his loan spells Petit recorded eight goals.
He also contributed one assist across both clubs.
The season marked Petit’s first campaign in Spanish football.
At 19, he aims to secure a place in Betis’s first‑team squad.
Because Petit is a non‑EU player, Betis may need to loan him out again to meet registration rules.
Galván acknowledged this possibility in his assessment.
Betis’s scouting department will monitor Petit’s development over the next two years.
A successful loan spell could see him return as a viable attacking option.
