Spain's World Cup squad deadline set for June 14
The Spanish Football Federation must submit the definitive 26‑player roster for the 2026 World Cup by tomorrow.
The deadline for activating an emergency replacement is 14 June at 18:00, exactly 24 hours before Spain's opening game against Cape Verde.
A pre‑list of 55 players was sent to FIFA in May.
That list forms the exclusive pool from which any substitute can be drawn.
If a field player suffers a serious injury, his replacement must be selected strictly from the pre‑list.
No player outside the 55‑man reserve may be called up after the deadline.
The submission marks the final phase of Spain's World Cup preparation.
The squad will travel to the tournament with the confirmed 26 names, pending any injury‑driven change before the Cape Verde match.
Should a replacement be needed, the federation has only until the 14 June cutoff to act.
