Lamine Yamal Accelerates Recovery Ahead of World Cup
Lamine Yamal is speeding up his recovery to be available for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. He will miss Spain's opening matches because of a recent injury.
Yamal posted a video on the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) platform describing his injury experience. The clip shows how he prepares physically and mentally for the tournament.
Yamal recalled the moment he felt the injury and said he was praying internally to keep it minor. He hoped it would be a "ramp" rather than a serious problem because the World Cup was approaching.
He acknowledged never having suffered a hamstring injury before but recognized the limited recovery window. He feared a severe tear or a recurrence that could keep him out of the World Cup.
Yamal emphasized the mental pressure of possibly missing the tournament. He described his focus on staying injury‑free to join the squad later.
Yamal is a FC Barcelona forward and a member of the Spanish national squad.
