Liverpool sign Spain winger Victor Muñoz for €40m
Liverpool announced on Thursday that they have secured the signing of 22‑year‑old Spanish winger Victor Muñoz from Osasuna for a reported €40 million ($46 million), finalising the deal while the player was at the World Cup in Tennessee. The transfer marks Liverpool's first acquisition under new manager Andoni Iraola.
The transfer comes after Andoni Iraola took over as Liverpool manager, replacing Arne Slot. It provides an attacking option following the departure of long‑time star Mohamed Salah.
Victor Muñoz grew up in Barcelona, training at the La Masia academy before moving to Real Madrid’s youth set‑up. He left Madrid in July 2025 to sign for Osasuna.
At Osasuna, the 22‑year‑old displayed speed and dribbling that earned him a place in a talent‑packed Spain squad. He made his senior international debut for Spain in March.

Liverpool announced that Muñoz signed a long‑term contract after completing his medical at Spain’s World Cup base in Tennessee.
