Martin O'Neill appointed Celtic permanent manager for 2025-26
Martin O'Neill, 74, has been confirmed as Celtic's permanent manager for at least the 2025-26 season. He previously stepped in as interim manager twice last season.
O'Neill's first spell at Celtic produced memorable European nights, including a goalless draw with AC Milan at Celtic Park in December 2004. That period restored belief that the club could challenge the continent's biggest teams.
Celtic must navigate a two-legged play-off in August to reach the Champions League proper. Retaining the league title and the Scottish Cup are the club's immediate priorities.
Celtic launched its 2025-26 season ticket campaign under the "Back For The Future" tagline, highlighting the return of Brendan Rodgers, Kieran Tierney and Jota on second spells. The marketing theme arrived a year early as O'Neill's appointment was confirmed. Tino can be found at The Celtic Exchange.
