Nico Paz to stay at Como, no Real Madrid return
Nico Paz will not be a Real Madrid player next season. He is expected to remain at Como for another season.
Paz left Real Madrid to join Como years ago because he anticipated limited playing time. Under Cesc Fabregas he became one of the side’s best performers in Serie A.
Real Madrid renewed interest and a return seemed certain until a week ago. Competition from Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler and newly signed Bernardo Silva leaves no guarantee of regular minutes. The club have no place to accommodate Paz.
Alberto Pereira is mentioned in the recent update on Paz’s situation. A photo by Todd Kirkland accompanies the story. Another image by Marco M. Mantovani shows Paz with Como. Jose Mourinho is tasked with stabilising the dressing‑room at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid retain a buy‑back clause on Paz. In his last Serie A campaign he recorded 12 goals, six assists in 35 games, created 13 big chances and averaged 1.5 key passes per match.
