Angers Owner Chabane Announces Coach Shortlist and Lopes Signing
Saïd Chabane told RMC's After Foot on Friday that Angers SCO has a shortlist of candidates to replace Alexandre Dujeux as head coach. He also confirmed goalkeeper Anthony Lopes will join the club following Hervé Koffi's exit.
Chabane said the club received roughly forty applications for the vacant coaching role. The shortlist narrows the field to a few names under consideration.
Alexandre Dujeux is set to depart after his current contract ends, prompting Angers to begin the search for his successor. The owner emphasized the need for a coach who matches the club's ambitions.
Anthony Lopes' arrival comes after Hervé Koffi left the squad. Lopes is expected to provide immediate depth between the posts.
Chabane indicated a decision on the new coach should be made before the summer transfer window closes. The club aims to integrate Lopes quickly to strengthen the defensive line.
