Kilmer Sports reaffirms Saint-Étienne ambitions in supporter letter
Larry Tanenbaum’s Kilmer Sports Ventures acquired AS Saint-Étienne in 2024. The club was relegated to Ligue 2 and failed to return to Ligue 1.
Owner Larry Tanenbaum addressed supporter frustration in a letter published Thursday. He acknowledged impatience while reaffirming long-term commitment.
Tanenbaum emphasized stability as the priority during the rebuilding phase. The message aimed to reassure supporters amid recent struggles.
The letter, titled 'Nous sommes là pour longtemps,' translates to 'We are here for the long term.' It signals no immediate ownership changes.
Saint-Étienne finished 5th in Ligue 2 last season, missing promotion by 10 points. Previous manager Laurent Batlles left in June 2024.
Tanenbaum’s group has invested in infrastructure and academy development. The club’s youth setup remains a key focus under new leadership.
Supporters continue to demand stronger sporting results. Tanenbaum’s letter did not address short-term performance targets.
