Three red cards in two minutes for Cremona in relegation battle
Three players received red cards within two minutes during Cremona’s relegation clash. The incident occurred in the second half of the match.
Cremona’s defensive crisis escalated after defender Marco DA VINCI was sent off in the 72nd minute for a second booking. Within 120 seconds, midfielder Marco GIANNI and forward Antonio ROMANO followed with straight red cards.
The referee issued DA VINCI’s first yellow for a foul on an opponent. His second yellow came for a reckless challenge that forced a stoppage in play.
GIANNI was shown a direct red for a high boot into an opponent’s chest during a 50-50 duel. The challenge left the player on the ground and sparked immediate controversy.
ROMANO received a straight red for a late, high tackle on a Cremona teammate in an off-the-ball incident. The foul occurred as players jostled for position during a set piece.
