PSG-Arsenal Champions League final sees 22,000 security personnel deployed
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez disclosed the security scale for Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. Total personnel mobilized across France will reach 22,000.
Within the Paris metropolitan area, 8,000 police officers and gendarmes will enforce security. The Champs-Élysées will remain accessible to pedestrians throughout the event.
Authorities plan to deploy personnel at key transport hubs and stadium approaches. Additional units will monitor fan zones and commercial districts in central Paris.
Security measures include drone surveillance and vehicle checks on major routes. The final is scheduled at 21:00 local time at Paris Saint-Germain’s Parc des Princes.
French officials cited recent international incidents as justification for the elevated deployment. Public transit services will operate with extended hours on match day.
