Real Madrid warns of rival show before World Cup
Real Madrid announced that a separate show will run before the Geopolitics World Cup begins.
The club described its relationship with the tournament as odd and difficult.
Spain’s 2010 triumph featured Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso and Iker Casillas added to a core of Barcelona players.
The inclusion was viewed as diminishing any aristocratic pretensions.
In 2018 Real Madrid appointed Julen Lopetegui as coach, prompting his recall from Russia before the tournament started.
Fernando Hierro later assumed control of the national side.
Under Hierro the competition ended as a bust for Spain.
Relations between Real Madrid and the event have remained strained since.
Ray Anselmo asked why Andoni Iraola would join Liverpool, noting Liverpool’s recent trophy but dissatisfaction with fifth place and a quarter‑final exit in Bigger Cup.
Neale Redington replied that Ray might be a Spurs fan.
Jon Millard defended AOR musicians and rejected the claim that Carole King lacks links with Antipodean Journeymen.
Rod de Lisle argued that several songs allude to travel themes involving Australasian teams.
Daniel Stauss urged publication of every response to Millard’s broadside, while David Bell quoted Half Man Half Biscuit and asked to move on.
