FC Barcelona loan list leaves only one with return option

FC Barcelona has six players on loan for the 2025-26 season. Only one of those loanees retains a chance to return under manager Hansi Flick. The loaned squad includes Ansu Fati, Marc-André ter Stegen, Héctor Fort, Iñaki Peña, Áaron Yaakobishvili and Ander Astralaga. All six were sent out with the expectation of gaining playing time. The purpose of the loans was to provide minutes and to position the players for a possible comeback at FC Barcelona. Club officials hoped the experience would help the players earn a place back. In practice, only one of the six maintains an option to rejoin the squad. The remaining five have no contractual provision to return under Flick's regime. The sole player with a return clause may be evaluated for future inclusion as Flick shapes his roster. The others are expected to continue their careers elsewhere.
