Parma to retain former Arsenal assistant Carlos Cuesta
Parma Calcio 1913 and former Arsenal assistant manager Carlos Cuesta have agreed to continue their partnership into next season. The decision was confirmed by the club on Tuesday.
Cuesta joined Parma after leaving his role at Arsenal, where he assisted the first‑team coach. His appointment marked his first senior coaching position outside England.
Parma expressed satisfaction with Cuesta’s performance during his inaugural campaign. The club highlighted improvements in training methodology and tactical preparation.
Both parties indicated that contractual terms will be finalised in the coming weeks. No financial details were released.
The continuation allows Parma to maintain stability ahead of the upcoming Serie A campaign. Cuesta will retain responsibility for midfield organization and set‑piece routines.
Parma’s director of football emphasized the club’s ambition to build on the progress achieved under Cuesta. The staff expects to compete for higher league positions.
