Riquelme names Raúl González Blanco as prospective sporting director
Enrique Riquelme, a candidate for the Real Madrid presidency, announced that Raúl González Blanco will become his sporting director if he defeats Florentino Pérez in the election on Sunday.
The announcement was made during an interview on the programme El Larguero.
Riquelme also named Rodrigo Hernández as a target signing should he assume the presidency.
Hernández is identified as a major acquisition for the club.
The candidate, a businessman, presented his sporting plan on El Larguero.
He linked the sporting director appointment with a broader transfer strategy.
If Riquelme wins, Raúl would assume the sporting director role and Hernández could join the squad.
The election outcome will shape Real Madrid's leadership and transfer agenda.
