Roberto Martinez backs Bernardo Silva for Barcelona move
Portugal national team manager Roberto Martinez said Bernardo Silva would thrive at Barcelona. He expressed no doubt about the midfielder’s fit with the Catalan club.
Martinez praised Silva’s ability to adapt to any system and improve teammates. He highlighted Silva’s football intelligence, positioning, passing and timing as key strengths.
Real Madrid have entered the race for Silva, with Jose Mourinho reportedly requesting the signing. Atletico Madrid, led by Diego Simeone, are also pursuing the veteran, though they are currently the furthest from concluding a deal.
Hansi Flick’s approval was the last obstacle, and with it secured, Barcelona await a player sale to announce Silva’s signing. Photographer Patricia de Melo Moreira captured the interview scene.
