Serginho and Simon Kjær Attend Opening of 2026 Banco BPM Milan Cup
AC Milan and the Municipality of Cattolica opened the 2026 Banco BPM Milan Cup in Cattolica’s Piazza 1° Maggio on Friday evening. The ceremony was attended by Serginho, representing AC Milan, and Mayor Franca Foronchi together with Councillor for Sport and Tourism Elisabetta Bartolucci.
A gentle breeze, clear skies and a red sunset created a festive atmosphere for tourists, football enthusiasts and young athletes gathered in the town square. Serginho answered questions from the crowd, including the mayor, and spoke openly about his lifelong support for AC Milan.
Serginho recalled arriving at AC Milan in the summer of 1999 and nearly signing for another club. He also recounted a February Sunday when President Silvio Berlusconi personally escorted him onto the Milanello training pitches to work on defensive marking.
Simon Kjær was in Cattolica to watch his son Viggo compete on the Banco BPM Milan Cup pitches. The event also showcased the new AC Milan 2026/27 Home Kit, which is now available for purchase.
