Strasbourg and Newcastle target PSG forward Mounguengue
RC Strasbourg Alsace and Newcastle United have identified Pierre Mounguengue (18) as a transfer target. The interest comes weeks before his PSG contract expires.
Mounguengue has featured for PSG’s first team this season, making his senior debut. The forward has also represented France at U18 level.
Strasbourg’s sporting director Frédéric Sammaritano confirmed the club’s pursuit in a recent interview. Newcastle’s technical staff has been monitoring the player closely.
PSG’s contract situation for Mounguengue remains unresolved. The Ligue 1 club has not yet finalized terms for the teenager’s future.
Mounguengue’s potential move would require PSG to negotiate a release clause. The club could retain him but faces pressure to find a solution before his contract lapses.
A decision on Mounguengue’s next club is expected before the transfer window closes.
