Teuchert set for Hannover 96 return after MLS spell
Cedric Teuchert is back in Germany on a temporary basis. Two years after leaving Hannover 96 for St. Louis City SC, the 29-year-old midfielder is evaluating his next move.
Teuchert’s MLS stint concluded with 25 appearances and four goals in his second season. His contract with St. Louis City SC expires in December 2024.
Hannover 96, coached by Stefan Leitl, remains interested in reintegrating Teuchert. The club ranks 14th in the 2. Bundesliga this season.
Teuchert played 112 matches and scored 27 goals for Hannover 96 from 2018 to 2022. His first spell included promotion to the Bundesliga in 2020.
A return to Hannover 96 would reunite Teuchert with teammates like Max Christiansen and Dominik Kaiser. Both have since left the club.
The midfielder’s future hinges on contract negotiations expected after his MLS contract expires.
