Juventus and Milan eliminated in Turin derby chaos
Juventus and AC Milan were eliminated from the Coppa Italia after a chaotic second leg against Torino FC.
AC Milan lost 2-1 to Torino FC in the quarterfinal second leg, with goals from Santiago Giménez and Duván Zapata sealing the elimination. Torino FC advanced 3-2 on aggregate after a 1-0 first-leg win.
Juventus also fell 2-1 to Torino FC in their quarterfinal second leg, with Federico Gatti and Duván Zapata scoring for Torino FC. Juventus had won the first leg 2-0, but a 2-1 defeat at home ended their hopes. Torino FC progressed 3-2 on aggregate.
The defeats mark the end of both clubs' Coppa Italia campaigns. Torino FC now face AS Roma in the semifinals.
AS Roma secured a 2-1 win over Como 1907 in their quarterfinal second leg, with Romelu Lukaku scoring the decisive goal. Roma had lost the first leg 1-0 but won 2-1 on aggregate to advance.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed Juventus will focus on Serie A after the elimination.
