FBL and DFB Sign Broadcast Deal for Frauen-Bundesliga

The Frauen-Bundesliga FBL e. V. and the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) reached a basic contract on broadcasting the Frauen-Bundesliga. Negotiations had been difficult before the breakthrough. The contract assigns the broadcast rights to the FBL from the 2027/28 season onward. It marks the first time the league will be organized by the FBL for television coverage. All matches of the Frauen-Bundesliga are included in the agreement. The deal supersedes any prior ad‑hoc broadcasting arrangements. The partnership is intended to strengthen the commercial profile of women's football in Germany. Both organisations emphasized the need for stable, long‑term coverage.
