Tete Yengi earns Socceroos call after Livingston promotion
Tete Yengi earned a call-up to Australia's pre‑World Cup training squad after his performances for Livingston FC. He was transferred to a Japanese club in January. Head coach Tony Popovic will consider him for the final squad.
Yengi joined Livingston FC in January 2024 from Ipswich Town. He is 25 years old. He scored six goals in 22 appearances this season.
Livingston FC were relegated from the Scottish Premiership. The club had won promotion the previous season with Yengi's contributions. Yengi contributed ten goals in 43 appearances to secure that promotion.
Yengi's six goals in 22 appearances this season earned him the Socceroos call-up. He plays as a striker. His arrival from Ipswich Town marked his first move abroad.
