Allan says Gannon-Doak central for Scotland vs Brazil

Scott Allan says Ben Gannon-Doak will be central to Scotland's strategy for their final World Cup Group C match against Brazil in Miami. The winger started the 2‑0 victory over Haiti and was a substitute in the 2‑1 defeat to Morocco.

Allan explained that Scotland often cannot predict the next pass when they gain possession. He added that the team's structure must aim to place its best players in attacking positions.

He noted that Steve Clarke may consider the fatigue Gannon-Doak showed around the 65‑70 minute mark against Haiti. Clarke could decide to keep him on the pitch for the final thirty minutes to unleash his impact.

Allan believes Scotland possess more energy and enthusiasm in midfield than Brazil. He sees this as a route to exploit against the South American side.

He described Brazil as not free‑flowing as they have appeared in previous games. Therefore Scotland must generate real energy from possession, be braver and take more risks.

Allan called it incredible that Scotland could lose two group games and still reach the knockout stage. He identified Vinicius Jr as the main threat, expecting intense pressure in the area where he operates.
