Ancelotti says Neymar fit for Brazil vs Scotland
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed on Saturday that Neymar will be an option for the national team’s clash with Scotland on Wednesday, 24 June. The statement followed Brazil’s recent win over Haiti in Philadelphia, United States, during a friendly match.
Ancelotti said, "Neymar will train individually tomorrow (Saturday) and then, on Monday, he will be with the team and will be ready for the game against Scotland." The individual session is set to take place in New Jersey, where Neymar has been staying to continue his recovery.
Neymar did not travel with the Brazilian delegation to Philadelphia for the Haiti match. He remained in New Jersey to continue recovering from a right calf injury.

On 17 June, Neymar marked a full month without competitive action. The month-long absence followed his right calf problem that kept him out of training. Scotland will be Brazil’s next opponent after the Haiti friendly. Ancelotti indicated that Neymar’s inclusion will give the team additional attacking options for the upcoming game. The coach will assess Neymar’s fitness on Monday before finalising the squad for the Scotland encounter. If cleared, Neymar could line up for Brazil on Wednesday, providing a boost to their attack.
