Arsenal reach personal agreement with France midfielder Manu Koné

Arsenal have reportedly reached a personal agreement with France midfielder Manu Koné. Corriere della Sera reports the Gunners are now in talks with his agent. The 25-year-old was a standout performer for AS Roma last season.

Roma must register €50 million in profit from player sales by month-end to meet UEFA financial regulations. This forces the Italian club to offload key players, with Koné among those targeted for sale. Roma has set a €50 million asking price for the France international.

Transfermarkt values Koné at exactly €50 million, aligning with Roma’s valuation. Arsenal’s agreement with Koné follows his rejection of Atlético Madrid and a collapsed deal with Paris Saint-Germain. On Tuesday, Koné remained an unused substitute for France in a match.

Koné faces competition from midfielders Aurélien Tchouaméni and Adrien Rabiot in the France squad. Arsenal must now finalize negotiations with Roma to complete the transfer. The Gunners have prioritized Koné as their first summer signing.

Koné’s inclusion in France’s squad on Tuesday highlights his international standing despite limited minutes.
