Aston Villa loans three youngsters to Annecy

Aston Villa will loan three young players – Mohamed Koné (18), Kadan Young (20) and Zepiqueno Redmond (20) – to Ligue 2 side AS Annecy ahead of the next season, following V Sports’ recent minority‑share purchase in the French club earlier this month as part of multi‑club synergies.

V Sports confirmed the purchase of a minority share in AS Annecy earlier this month. The share is thought to be around 30%, though not confirmed, and the deal had been in the works for some time.

Villa defender Triston Rowe spent the previous season on loan at AS Annecy. His spell highlighted the existing link between the clubs.

The Athletic multi‑club synergies between Aston Villa and AS Annecy will be expanded this summer. The report suggests further cooperation beyond the share purchase.

Mohamed Koné, an 18‑year‑old midfielder, Kadan Young, 20, and Zepiqueno Redmond, also 20, are slated to join Annecy on loan. All three are expected to compete in Ligue 2 next season.

Redmond arrived at Aston Villa from Feyenoord in the summer before last. He spent the first half of the season on loan at Huddersfield Town but struggled for playing time in League One.

The three players are projected to complete their moves before the start of the upcoming campaign. Their departures align with the broader partnership strategy between the clubs.
