Bernardo Silva completes medical and joins Real Madrid
Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva has completed his medical ahead of a move to Real Madrid.
Rodra reported that all parties have reached a complete agreement, with a two-year contract and a one-year option for Real Madrid, after negotiations accelerated within 36 hours.
Jose Mourinho met with Real Madrid directors earlier in the week and indicated that Silva was his priority signing. Mourinho’s push prompted the club to finalize the deal within 36 hours.
Silva accepted lower wages than he earned at Manchester City to join Real Madrid. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid had both pursued him and reportedly presented stronger financial offers, but the midfielder chose Real Madrid.
