Calum Ferrie signs two-year deal with Kilmarnock

English goalkeeper Calum Ferrie, 28, has completed a move to Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, signing a two-year contract at Rugby Park. The transfer from Queen's Park was made for an undisclosed fee, reuniting Ferrie with former Dundee manager Neil McCann.

Ferrie spent five seasons with Queen's Park, known as the Spiders. During that spell he amassed 199 senior appearances.

At the time of his departure he still had one year remaining on his contract. He had voiced a desire to explore opportunities at a higher level.

The agreement with Kilmarnock was announced as a two-year deal. The fee for the transfer was not disclosed by either club.

Speaking to Killie TV, Ferrie said, "I've worked really hard to get an opportunity like this." He added that he was "really excited to get going and to be at a Premiership club".

He continued, "I want to push and challenge myself, and it's perfect timing." Ferrie also noted, "I've always known the size and stature of Killie in Scottish football. Being around the club, and speaking to others, I can tell it's full of good people."
