Chelsea offers Alex Garnacho on loan to Roma with €35‑40m buyout
Chelsea have put the 2004‑born striker Alex Garnacho on the market, proposing a season‑long loan to Serie A side Roma with a mandatory purchase option priced between €35 million and €40 million, after his €52 million move to the Blues failed to deliver expected performances this season.
Roma are actively searching for wingers to strengthen their attack. Gian Piero Gasperini plans to pair Malen with two new starters.
Midfielder Soulé’s place is under threat, while Gasperini’s preferred target is the English forward Greenwood. Alex Garnacho also appears on the Giallorossi’s shortlist.
The 2004‑born Garnacho has not excelled for Chelsea this season, prompting interest from Roma as a potential reinforcement. His lack of impact makes him a viable candidate for the Italian club’s upcoming campaign.
Teleradiostereo reported that the Giallorossi are among the clubs to which intermediaries have presented Alex Garnacho. The striker, described as difficult to manage, cut ties with Amorim at Manchester United before joining Chelsea for roughly €52 million.
Chelsea are offering Garnacho on loan, setting a future purchase clause no lower than €35‑40 million. In Italy, Juventus and Milan have also been approached, while the Blues continue to explore Premier League options for the forward.
Roma will continue monitoring several strikers as they prepare for next season, which includes a Champions League campaign. The loan move could be finalised before the start of that campaign.
