Media outlets including Sky Sport Italia and Tuttosport reported that Juventus have reached a principle of agreement with the Old Lady and hope to persuade Aston Villa to sell the 33‑year‑old goalkeeper for a low fee or even on a free transfer. Martinez remains under contract with the Premier League side until June 2029.
