Ghanaian priest lifts 'curse' on Harry Kane ahead of Panama clash

Ghanaian spiritualist Nana Kwaku Bonsam announced today that he has lifted the 'curse' he placed on England striker Harry Kane. The announcement came via a social media video in which Bonsam declared the removal of the spell that prevented Kane from scoring against Ghana at the World Cup. Bonsam had previously claimed responsibility for a knee injury suffered by Cristiano Ronaldo in 2014, stating: 'I am now working on Harry Kane. I have shown before what I am capable of, so I know what I need to do to stop him.' He added that his aim was to hinder Kane just enough to prevent him from scoring against Ghana, while avoiding serious injury. The England versus Ghana match ended 0-0, with Kane missing a clear chance to secure victory for The Three Lions in stoppage time. The following day, Bonsam declared the curse lifted, saying: 'I am now going to release Harry Kane so he can score in the next match for England.' England’s next fixture is against Panama, while Ghana faces Croatia. Both teams enter their final group games with four points from two matches, keeping their knockout stage hopes alive. Bonsam concluded his video message by reiterating his intent to support Ghana, stating: 'I will do my work so that it benefits Ghana.'
