Giovanni van Bronckhorst appointed Feyenoord head coach
Giovanni van Bronckhorst returns to Feyenoord as head coach, signing a two‑year deal. He leaves Liverpool where he worked with Arne Slot last season. Van Bronckhorst replaces Robin van Persie, who was dismissed after just over a season in charge.
He will bring in Sipke Hulshoff, a former Liverpool staff member, as he previously managed Feyenoord from 2015 to 2019, winning the 2017 Eredivisie title and ending an 18‑year title drought. Feyenoord finished second last season behind PSV and are preparing for the transfer window, with OGC Nice midfielder Charles Vanhoutte among the first targets. Ben Jackson reported the appointment.
