Kidderminster complete Lewis Walker signing from relegated Braintree Town

Kidderminster Harriers have completed the signing of striker Lewis Walker from Braintree Town. The 28-year-old forward will join on 1 July after his release from the National League side. Walker scored 10 goals in 35 appearances for Braintree, who finished second-bottom and were relegated last season.

The move reunites Walker with Harriers manager Paul Wotton, who appointed him as part of his third summer signing. Harriers have also added midfielders Callum Dolan and Max Brogan since Wotton took charge at the end of May.

Walker’s arrival at Aggborough marks his return to the top tier of non-league football following Kidderminster’s promotion via the play-offs. The striker brings experience from the English Football League, having played for Queens Park Rangers and Gillingham.

Before his spells in the EFL, Walker began his career at Derby County. His league debut came in a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town in August 2013, a match in which he featured as a substitute.

Harriers’ recruitment under Wotton continues to focus on players with non-league pedigree and EFL experience. Walker’s signing adds depth to their attacking options ahead of the upcoming campaign.
