Koeman vows full‑strength line‑up vs Tunisia at World Cup
Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman confirmed on Friday night that his fully fit squad will take the field against Tunisia in the final group match of the World Cup, scheduled for 01:00 CET in Kansas City, and indicated he has no intention of resting any players.
Koeman told reporters that the Netherlands will play to win and aim to finish first in the group. He added, "We play to win and want to be first in the group," and said he has no preference for Brazil or Morocco.
The coach indicated he intends to retain the starting eleven that featured in the first two matches. He explained, "Because I think we did not do things well against Sweden, we need to improve, I have a plan and during the match you will see the score," referring to the Sweden game.
Koeman left open the possibility of rotating players who have not yet logged minutes. He said, "And whether there is room to bring in players who have not made minutes… we will see," but stressed the priority is to play well from the start.
Netherlands' round‑of‑16 foes set: Brazil or Morocco
Tunisia entered the encounter after heavy losses to Sweden (5‑1) and Japan (4‑0) and have a new national coach. Koeman admitted, "I do not know very well what we can expect tomorrow," noting the difficulty of predicting their approach. Thunderstorms could affect the Kansas City venue, echoing the weather‑disrupted France‑Iraq match. Koeman remarked, "We can do a lot, prepare everywhere, but not the weather. Let's hope it holds and the match can be played under good conditions," acknowledging the uncertainty.Koeman demands more long-range shots as Netherlands eye Tunisia win
