Leyton Orient sign Armando Dobra on three-year deal

Leyton Orient have secured the signing of 25‑year‑old attacking midfielder Armando Dobra from League Two side Chesterfield, agreeing a three‑year contract as the club prepares for its upcoming League One campaign. The Albanian international arrives for an undisclosed fee after scoring 39 goals in 165 appearances for the Spireites, with the deal completed in June 2026.

Dobra spent four years at Chesterfield, contributing 39 goals in 165 matches and helping the Derbyshire club capture the National League title in 2024 before reaching the League Two play‑off places the following season, where he earned the player of the year award.

He joined Chesterfield in July 2022 after leaving Ipswich Town, marking the start of his senior spell in English football.

"I'm ready for the step-up, and here is the perfect place to do it," Dobra told the Orient website, expressing his enthusiasm for the move.

Richie Wellens, Leyton Orient head coach, said: "He has really impressed me during his time at Chesterfield and has good goalscoring numbers to match his energy and work rate."

Orient will discover their fixtures for the next season when the English Football League releases them on Thursday.
