Liverpool await Yan Diomande decision on €100m move
Liverpool Football Club are waiting on Yan Diomande's decision before confirming a €100 million transfer. The Ivorian winger remains under contract with RB Leipzig.
Liverpool's 2025 overhaul failed, prompting a rebuild after head coach Arne Slot left. The club now faces high‑profile exits and a need to spend heavily.
Yan Diomande, 19, was born in Abidjan on 14 November 2006 and trained at the DME Academy in Florida before joining CD Leganés in January 2025. He debuted against Real Madrid in March 2025 and was signed by RB Leipzig for €20 million in July 2025. In the 2025/26 Bundesliga season he recorded 12 goals and nine assists. Journalist Ben Jacobs said Leipzig will demand around €100 million for the player.
Diomande is a key Ivory Coast national team member ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and featured in a friendly versus France on 4 June 2026. If he pushes for a move, Liverpool could finalize the deal; otherwise the transfer may collapse.
