Liverpool open to €20m sale of Federico Chiesa
Liverpool have indicated they will accept offers for winger Federico Chiesa this summer, with an asking price of around €20m. Napoli and Como have emerged as the clubs showing the strongest interest.
Chiesa, 28, has struggled to make an impact at Anfield and his future appears uncertain as manager Andoni Iraola reshapes the squad following a sharp decline in the 2025/26 season. A return to Serie A is now being discussed.
Liverpool have already lost Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate on free transfers, creating a need to replace experience across the team. Chiesa’s tactical flexibility and direct running have not translated into a regular role.
The club prefers a permanent transfer to secure clarity and free up squad space, but a loan with an obligation to buy could be considered if the structure protects Liverpool’s valuation. A loan option would allow Napoli or Como to assess the player before committing fully.
Pre‑season talks between Liverpool and Chiesa are expected, which should determine whether the winger departs before the new campaign. An exit would give Iraola room to build a squad centred on energy, pressing and attacking coherence.
