Liverpool Pushes for Red Bull Leipzig Winger Yan Diomande

Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Red Bull Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, journalist Fabrizio Romano said on the Here We Go podcast. He noted that Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race for the 19‑year‑old. Romano said Liverpool consider Diomande a top priority and are willing to offer significant money. He added that PSG’s interest depends on the situations of Barcola, Goncalo Ramos and Kang‑in Lee, and on players leaving the French club. Diomande featured in 36 matches for Red Bull Leipzig last season, scoring 13 goals and providing ten assists across all competitions. The Ivory Coast winger was among the most feared wide players in the Bundesliga. He is contracted with Red Bull Leipzig until the summer of 2030, which could limit Liverpool’s ability to acquire him cheaply. The club has already created space by confirming Mo Salah’s departure. Andoni Iraola could add pace and firepower to Liverpool’s attack with Diomande’s ability to run on the flanks and shoot from distance. However, concerns remain about how smoothly the player will adapt to the Premier League. Diomande’s recent Bundesliga appearance came against Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park.
