Liverpool secure Joshua Abe scholar deal, Hughes says

Richard Hughes confirmed that Liverpool Football Club have tied down Joshua Abe on a scholar contract. The 15‑year‑old winger has been with the club since age four. Liverpool, the outgoing Premier League champions, have a reputation for developing forwards. Abe featured in the UEFA Youth League and the Under‑18 Premier League last season before a leg injury in March ended his campaign. Liverpool have allocated the No 40 senior squad number to Abe for the pre‑season tour of the United States.
