Manchester City joins race for 15‑year‑old Kaua Pavuna

Manchester City have entered an intense race for 15‑year‑old Brazilian wonderkid Kaua Pavuna. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United are also monitoring the Flamengo prospect. Pavuna currently plays for Flamengo’s U15 and U16 sides. He is described as a classic number 10 and has been likened to Ronaldinho for his creative flair. Ronaldinho won the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d’Or. Brazilian insider Joao Van Boysen said an intense race is underway for Pavuna’s signature. Clubs are seeking to secure an advantage to organise a move when the player reaches a suitable age. Under post‑Brexit FIFA and FA rules, a Premier League transfer requires the player to be at least 18 years old. Spanish legislation similarly restricts overseas moves, though certain exemptions allow transfers at 16 in La Liga. Talent watchers in Brazil rank Pavuna among the biggest prospects of his generation. The reported competition suggests City, United and Arsenal aim to position themselves for a future deal.
