Manchester United Rejects Further Loan for Marcus Rashford

Manchester United have ruled out another loan move for England forward Marcus Rashford. The decision removes Barcelona's immediate option to keep the striker on loan. Barcelona must now consider a permanent transfer if they wish to retain him. The €30 million purchase clause tied to Rashford's previous loan has expired, meaning any new agreement would require fresh negotiations. United, a Premier League club, are only willing to discuss a permanent sale that would generate a sizable fee this summer. They have explicitly stated they will not sanction another temporary transfer for the 28‑year‑old attacker. Barcelona have not dismissed the possibility of signing Rashford permanently, but the loss of a loan option raises the financial commitment required. Bayern Munich and Aston Villa are also monitoring Rashford's situation, with Villa interested in bringing him back after his spell in the second half of the 2024‑25 campaign. United believe a strong World Cup performance could further increase the forward's market value and spark a bidding battle.
