Manchester United are reported to be in pole position to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali. The report said manager Michael Carrick is leading the pursuit. Tonali featured in 53 matches for Newcastle United last season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. The 26‑year‑old was described as one of the Premier League’s best central midfielders.
