Manchester United Target Tottenham Defender Cristian Romero
Manchester United are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero this summer. The Argentine centre-back is linked with a move to Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window.
Romero recorded six goals and four assists in 32 matches for Tottenham across all competitions last season. At 28, he is among the most experienced centre-backs in the Premier League and remains under contract with Tottenham until 2029.
Standing 1.85 m, Romero is described as a strong aerial presence and a good tackler who reads danger well to win back possession. His Premier League experience should ease his adaptation to Manchester United.
Manager Michael Carrick could consider Romero as he has fallen out of favour at Tottenham, potentially allowing United to complete a deal before the window closes. Carrick is expected to weigh Romero’s quality and experience against other defensive options.
