Manchester United to face AC Milan in Wroclaw

Manchester United will conclude their pre‑season schedule with a friendly against AC Milan in Wroclaw, Poland on 15 August. The match comes days before the new Premier League campaign. United begin their tour on 18 July against Wrexham in Helsinki, then travel to Trondheim, Norway to meet Rosenborg the following Friday. The European leg continues with a Snapdragon Cup clash versus Atletico Madrid in Stockholm on 1 August and a game against Paris St Germain in Gothenburg a week later. United will also host Premier League rivals Leeds in Dublin on 12 August before the Milan fixture. Director of football Jason Wilcox said on the United website that the club is excited to finish the tour in Wroclaw with a big game against AC Milan. He added that fixtures across five countries and six cities will provide strong preparation for the 2026‑27 season and a chance to connect with fans across Europe. The two clubs previously met in the 2020/21 Europa League. United confirmed Michael Carrick as permanent head coach last month. Chief executive Omar Berrada said United have a clear plan and will not let market forces or agents dictate summer transfer decisions. He explained that the template from last summer – a mix of experience and youth and players proven in the Premier League or performing well abroad – will be replicated. Berrada noted that United signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens in the previous recruitment drive. He also said the club has already agreed a £35 million fee with Atalanta for Brazilian midfielder Ederson. Berrada discussed these points on the Inside Carrington podcast.
