Mohamed Salah Open to Fenerbahçe Deal After Liverpool Exit

Mohamed Salah has agreed with Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes to terminate his £400,000‑per‑week contract one year early. The 33‑year‑old Egyptian forward is therefore free to join any club on a free transfer. Clubs from the Saudi Pro League are reported to be at the front of the queue for his signature. San Diego FC of Major League Soccer have also expressed interest in signing the two‑time African Footballer of the Year. Italian side Roma have shown interest but would face financial constraints. Fenerbahçe’s director Ertan Torunogullari has spoken about a possible three‑year deal worth €30 million per year, amounting to a €90 million wage package. The Turkish Super Lig side has officially opened negotiations to bring the free‑agent winger to Turkey. A move to a Champions League club remains a possibility if he stays in Europe. Agent Ramy Abbas Issa issued a statement saying Mohamed and he prefer to keep future discussions private and will only respond politely to inquiries. He added that a decision may be delayed until after the World Cup concludes.
