Pepe says he’s ready to help Mourinho at Real Madrid
Real Madrid confirmed Jose Mourinho’s return as manager earlier this week, 13 years after his first spell at the Bernabeu. The club said the presidential election delayed the announcement but built excitement.
Former defender Pepe said he would welcome a return to the Bernabeu under Mourinho. He denied rumours that he was being considered for Mourinho’s coaching staff.
Pepe stressed that club unity between fans, players and staff is essential. He described Mourinho as a fundamental piece to align everyone and help Real Madrid win titles again.
Pepe commented on Real Madrid’s interest in Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva. He hopes Konate performs better than him and noted Silva is free, leaving the decision to the president.
