Pierre Sage leaves RC Lens for Crystal Palace

Pierre Sage has left RC Lens to become head coach of Crystal Palace. The club announced the move on Monday. Sage departs after a single season in which Lens finished second in Ligue 1 behind Paris Saint-Germain. That campaign also delivered Lens's first Coupe de France trophy. Before joining Lens, the French manager was in charge of Lyon, making Crystal Palace his third senior appointment. He said the pull of the Premier League influenced his move.
