Pierre Sage signs three-year contract as Crystal Palace manager
Pierre Sage has signed a three-year contract to become the manager of Crystal Palace. He will replace Oliver Glasner and is slated to start on July 6, ahead of the first-team pre-season camp.
Sage arrives after guiding Lens to a second-place finish in Ligue 1, six points behind champions Paris Saint‑Germain. He also delivered Lens’s inaugural Coupe de France triumph.
Former Morocco international Jamal Alioui is expected to join Sage as assistant. Existing backroom staff Paddy McCarthy and Andy Quy will remain at the club.
Sage’s pathway to senior management included youth development, scouting, technical director and sports coordination roles. His first top-level appointment was at Lyon in January 2024, a spell that ended a year later but earned widespread praise.
Sage has repeatedly praised English football and described the Premier League as his personal ambition. Crystal Palace hope his experience can build on recent progress and guide the club forward in the Premier League.
