Real Madrid block Tchouameni exit as United watch

Real Madrid have confirmed that they are not opening the door to a summer exit for French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, despite intense interest from Premier League side Manchester United. Fabrizio Romano added that no direct contact has occurred and Real Madrid have not signaled any intention to sell the midfielder.

The club has already secured four new signings for the upcoming season, prompting a need to trim the current roster. Midfielders Dani Ceballos, Fran Garcia and forward Raul Asencio are reported to be among the players likely to depart.

Reports also suggest that Eduardo Camavinga could be on the exit list alongside Aurelien Tchouameni. However, Real Madrid are not actively pursuing a sale of Tchouameni at this stage.

Manchester United would face a substantial transfer fee and a high salary to acquire Tchouameni, creating financial hurdles. Unless those conditions change dramatically, a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu appears unlikely.

Incoming manager Jose Mourinho plans to employ a 4-2-3-1 system, naming Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde as his primary midfield pillars. Consequently, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Arda Guler, Bernardo Silva and other new signings will compete for the remaining midfield role.

During his tenure at Real Madrid, Tchouameni has been a permanent fixture in midfield under coaches Carlo Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa. His role under the new manager will be evaluated as the squad reshapes for the next campaign.
