Real Madrid keep Endrick, reject new loan

Real Madrid have ruled out another loan for 19‑year‑old Brazilian forward Endrick, confirming he will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu to compete for a first‑team place under manager Jose Mourinho after his half‑season spell at Lyon this summer in Ligue 1. Endrick spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Lyon. He is now expected to report for pre‑season and work under Mourinho. says Real Madrid and Endrick are fully aligned on the plan. Neither side is considering another loan during the current transfer window. The coaching staff cite his physical strength, direct running and attacking power as assets. They expect these qualities to offer something different to the current squad. Endrick will battle for attacking opportunities alongside Brahim Diaz. Franco Mastantuono could also be part of the first‑team picture if he is not sent out on loan. Rodrygo is likewise expected to return during the season. He continues his recovery from a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury. Endrick will head into pre‑season with growing confidence after an encouraging spell in France. A possible strong World Cup campaign, where his appearances were limited under Carlo Ancelotti, adds to his readiness. The club believes the time has come for Endrick to establish himself in the first‑team squad. He will join Real Madrid’s pre‑season training aiming to earn regular minutes. A photo of Endrick taken by Kevin C. Cox accompanies the announcement.
