Sabri Ghuendouz set for Hearts medical after £870k Beerschot deal

Sabri Ghuendouz will undergo a medical with Heart of Midlothian on Monday after a £870,000 transfer fee was agreed with Beerschot for the 26-year-old French winger. The move follows negotiations that concluded over the weekend, with Hearts set to finalise personal terms.

Ghuendouz’s arrival would add pace and creativity to Hearts’ attack, with the player having featured 82 times for Beerschot in the Belgian Pro League. His contract with Beerschot expired in June, allowing the club to agree a fee without compensation.

Celtic are monitoring two potential targets: 24-year-old Qarabag striker Camilo Duran, valued at £2 million, and 22-year-old Go Ahead Eagles midfielder Jakob Breum, priced at £4.4 million. Both players remain at their clubs as Celtic assess options.

Arne Engels, 22, is set to decide his future before returning to Celtic’s pre-season training. Roma, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest have all registered interest in the Belgian midfielder.

Southampton, West Ham United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are tracking 23-year-old Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan. The English clubs are monitoring his progress as he enters the final year of his contract.

Aberdeen and Hibernian are both keeping tabs on 24-year-old St Patrick’s Athletic midfielder Kian Leavy. The League of Ireland player has drawn attention from Scottish sides ahead of the transfer window.

Rangers are exploring alternatives at right-back as Nathan Patterson’s wage demands complicate a potential return. The 24-year-old Scotland international remains under contract at Everton until 2025.

Nicolas Raskin, 25, has confirmed he is leaving his Rangers future to his agents while focusing on Belgium’s World Cup campaign. The midfielder has made 31 appearances for Rangers since joining from Standard Liege.

Simo Valakari, manager of St Johnstone, stated he can take his time in the transfer market after Ross Sinclair signed a new contract. The deal extends Sinclair’s stay at McDiarmid Park.

Kenny Miller is set to be appointed permanently as head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv. The former Scotland striker led the club to the Israeli Cup final as caretaker following Ronny Deila’s departure.
